5 Stars!

This book was marvellous, and not at all what I expected. The amount of emotions I felt after reading this masterpiece, is indescribable. I can’t pine point them, there’s just too many, so many.

I don’t believe I have ever been this speechless after reading a novel. I’m shocked, but not in a bad way. It’s a pleasant shock, like when something astonishing happens and you get that rush of happy endorphin's, making your heart jump and your stomach swirls with giddy butterflies.

This novel covers everything, explains everything, but leaves you confused all at the same time. I’m normally pretty good at guessing the endings of, well, anything. I catch onto fore-showing fairly quick, but man, this book did a masterful job of keeping me in the dark and keeping me guessing. The twist at the end, wow, I didn’t even fathom that the ending confession was the, why, everything that happened, did happen.

There’s so much that can be said about this novel. I’m sure if you took the time to tear it apart, you will find that there are things that were left out on purpose. It’s done in a way that even though the story has ended, and is closed, you are still wondering about the little subtle things that were left unexplained, and will never be explained.

I love the realism, and the harshness. The first chapter sets the stage, and it sets it so very well. It’s at that point, that moment, where you first create your assumption of where the novel will be headed. It is at the point, where you are first lead down that dark rabbit whole, while chasing a rainbow.

I will add, this isn’t, in my judgment a Young Adult novel, it’s more an NA (New Adult). In truth, this is the first of its kind of I have read, and I am impressed. There was no skirting about swear words, or sex, it was all there. That in its own, makes it more real, more dark, and more connecting.

I highly recommend you take the time to read this brain twisting book, that, and I hope it will leave you as speechless, as has left me.
