Interview with a Hex Boy

Demons at Deadnight (Divinicus Nex Chronicles, #1)Demons at Deadnight by A&E Kirk
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If I could give this book 10 stars I would. XD

This is probably one of the of the Best YA books I have read all year. There's no shortage of fast pace, bloody action or snappy funny banter. It felt real, all for the demon's that kept trying, and I stress trying, to kill Aurora. I particularly liked how she keeps all her spunk, even after she finds her crush, the smoking hot(in more ways then one) Ayden (It's a YA novel, it's like sacrilegious not to have one.) I hate how it's now the 'norm' for some YA novels to start out with this wicket, funny, strong headed lead female, and all for it to get shit canned as soon as she "falls in love" with her "one true love" and her brain goes to complete utter mush. Aurora doesn't to that, well her brain does goes to mush at points, she is a teenage girl after all, but not to the point where all brain functions stop. That and she never fully trusts him, not until the end, and that's still a little in the air.

There's a lot of secret keeping in this book, ( and for some weird reason, break and entry )between secret demon slaying/hunter organization, to the mysterious death of a child hood friend, oh and we can't forget about the superpower, oh the superpowers! But it's my girl Aurora who's keeping the best yet deadliest one of them all. She's the Divinicus, Nex for short. Basically she's like a demon tracking device. But sadly she only has two choices if her secrete gets out, 1. be locked up by the demon hunters for protection or 2. be killed by the demon's and even by the end of the book she still keeps it all to herself. I see a big blow out in the books to come, so can't wait.

One of the best scene's

Interview with a Hex Boy: Supernatural Fun When Book Bloggers and Fantasy Demon Hunters Collide (The Divinicus Nex Chronicles)Interview with a Hex Boy: Supernatural Fun When Book Bloggers and Fantasy Demon Hunters Collide by A&E Kirk
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was soooooooooo funny!!!!!!!

This is a nice little short read full of fun and silliness and a another way to get some more of the Hex boys that we all know and love.

I loved the exchanges with the boys. It felt almost real, like I could actually see them in my living-room fighting and arguing, that could also be because I grew up in a house full a guys. I'm in the navy, more times then not I'm one of the only girls in my department and the boys, well, their boys. (I would like to say men, but, come on, you know)

If you enjoyed Demons at Deadnight then you will love this short insight into the minds of the Hex boys.

Don't be afraid to do the fan girl scream, no one will judge you... XD
